Hi everyone! I have enjoyed building models my whole life but with 20 years in the Navy I have not been able to do many at all. I am excited to get back into building and learning all the tips and tricks everyone has. I love cars, ships, planes, Star Wars, and whatever else that can be built. My main goal is to get good enough to make a really bad ass Formula 1 model.
Thanks everyone!
Go Ferrari!!
Welcome @Pinkbooger ! Thank you for your service. Looking forward to seeing some of your work.
Welcome to the Forum @Pinkbooger. This is a great bunch of folks with tons of modelling knowledge.
Welcome to FSM,and welcome back to the hobby.
Welcome aboard @Pinkbooger, and it won’t take long to become just a bad modeler. I’ve been bad for a long time!
Welcome to the Forum, PB! I look forward to seeing your builds.
Best regards,
Brad
Welcome aboard. Look forward to seeing your builds. I’m looking forward to one of the manufacturers doing a current halo F1 car. There’s one 3d resin kit but its pricey and hard to find.
Ahoy pinkbooger(you’ll have to explain that someday)and welcome to the FSM forum and back to the scale modeling hobby. Any plans to model any ships or planes from your experience in the Navy? Most of all “THANK YOU” for all of your years of service to our country.
I have a friend with a 3d printer. I think I am going to have him print one for me.
I have the USS Midway I want to do. I bought it at the Midway.
My high school best friend and now my sister’s husband served on the Midway from 87 to 91. About 10 years ago my wife and I vacationed in San Diego for Thanksgiving and spent a morning touring the Midway. I could have spent all day there. It was amazing. Part of it though was the idea that I was wandering through the same hallways and compartments that my buddy called home for 4 years of his life.
dadoffour, thanks for sharing that great story/personal connection with the forum.
Welcome to the forums, and I look forward to seeing some of your builds. Enjoy!
Welcome, Pink, and GO NAVY! Looking forward to seeing your work.
A very heartfelt THANK YOU for your service!!! You will learn much from these folks. I know I have and I’m grateful that people are so willing to share ideas. Welcome back to the hobby.
Welcome to the forum! Thank you for your service. I love F1 cars, especially the Ferraris. Glad that you still have the itch for the hobby. A tremendous amount of talent on this forum. Look forward to seeing your builds.
