Happy New Year!
I’ve been into modeling for over 40 years, with a few years off due to service with the USN and US Dept of State. Primarily I build up 1/48th US jet aircraft from the Korean War to present day, but to avoid burn out I’ve dabbled in everything from 1/144th airliners to a 1/16th motorcycle. Now that I’m retired I have more time to spend on the hobby and over the past 4-5 years done contract modeling work; e.g., 1/48th aircraft and 1/350th subs. Currently I have a 1/48th F-14A Tomcat (Black Bunny) and a German Leopold railway 280mm gun on the bench along with a 737 which will end up in Frontier Airline colors. I’ve been a subscriber to FSM since 1985; I have all the copies and a Microsoft Access database to do searchs for topics. I think this is a great site and have already gotten quite a bit of data.
Anyone else from Florida?
Looking forward to exchanging ideas and suggestions with everyone.

Greetings Dick McC!
Sounds like you’ve done quite a bit of modeling during your lifetime - quite an impressive range of subjects and scales. I’m sure many of us will benefit from your experience. Looking forward to it!
BTW, I lived in Orlando, FL from 1995-1997. I miss it sometimes. The mild weather in the Fall/Winter, close vicinity to the beaches, friends, and this may sound silly - but I also miss the Zellwood Sweet Corn Festival. [:)]
