Greetings from a new member

Hello everyone, I am a beginner/intermediate modeler with a typical story in that I used to build models as a kid that looked mediocre at best and then I just got back into it this past year now that I am in my 40’s.

My interest is primarily in WWII aircraft and I have been busy building quite a bit and trying to improve my skills. I have been a subscriber to FSM for nearly a year and have picked up a lot of tips. Some of you folks are insane with the details but I am impressed. I am more of an out of the box type of guy but aim for realism and accurate color schemes etc.

Airbrushing is definitely a science that will take me years to improve I am sure. Laquers are easier to get and a bit more forgiving but I think acyrlics likely have more potential as an airbrush medium along with being a bit less toxic.

I have a Badger dual action siphon feed, but I think I will likely get a dual action top gravity feed as well as the bottom cup can be a bit of a hassle. I am still learning and getting better once I can master a proper level of thinning and keeping the airbrush clog free - LOL.

Anyway, thanks for all the tips and I look forward to being a participant in the forums.
