Did yours just come? I thought I ordered it, but don’t seem to remember getting it. What’s a little scary is I have to say “I don’t SEEM to remember it” because I am not 100% sure I didn’t get it. Can you become senile at 32?
ha, i picked it up at the store. no waitin for me. its a pretty good issue. i wish there were more dios tho, I love those things. and what’s with those three pics up in the right corner on the front page? those models r nevr in the mag. what gives??
Are we talking about Great Scale Modeling 2005? I have had my copy for a while now and it’s getting well worn as most my copies of FSM magazine do. I got mine early because my wife saw the order form and sent it in for me, she’s a good wife, I think I’ll keep her.
I remember one of Dave’s “dioramas”. This was when he used to have a daytime show. Regular guests included Edie McClurg (sp?) and Richard Simmons. Any way, he did an “East River” Jello dessert. It was made of a murky colored orangish brown Jello and had little HO train figures suspended in the bottom. On the surface were little tiny cans and other assorted garbage.
I remember that diorama! Edie McClurg played a character named Mrs. Marv Mendenhal, and she’d visit with awful-looking craft projects. I remember one visit she had Christmas decorations made entirely from items from McDonalds, including a manger scene constructed in a styrofoam Big Mac box.
Mr. Letterman and I are both from Indiana, and we both graduated from Ball State University, albeit at different times. He donated the money for the schools spectacular communications building. In the lobby, a dignified looking brass panel includes his dedication: “To all the C students before and after me.”
Let’s not get to far off the beaten path guys! Next thing ya know FSM will have an article on jello mold diorama accessories. God forbid! Semper Fi, mike
