Great friend alert

I don’t know if he wants me to mention this on the forum but I am going to anyway. [:p] [;)]

My friend Gip (Styrene) sent me a Tamiya 1/32 F-15E that he had started building years ago and only completed part of the cockpit, intakes and some of the weapons.
Gip is mainly an armor builder so this kit was not at the top of his list of kits to build I assume.
Anyways, he knew how much I love this aircraft and thought that someone who enjoyed the Eagle as much as I do should have the kit to build it so he sent it to me.
The kit includes Waldron PE parts and other items as well.
Wow! What an awesome kit!
In addition to the kit he sent me the Lock On No 22 book by Verlinden which has all color photos of the F-15E, (an awesome book) as well as the F-15 Eagle In Detail and Scale book by Bert Kinsey which is also excellent. [:0]

So I just wanted to acknowledge Gip on this forum as my good friend, brother in the Lord, and all around great guy. Thanks Gip for your generosity my friend.
I look forward to one day completing this kit and being able to share it with all of you, my fellow modelers.[;)]

Just curious…does Gip need any more really good friends? Just kidding, sounds like a great friend you have there. Don’t forget when you go to build the F-15E we (translate I) want pictures of where he left off and where you started.

I agree with the above postings.We need more folks like him around.I think it is really cool that he didn’t try to profit off of it,like most people would have.Maybe someday we could start a forum-wide give-someone-the-kit-you-don’t-want-GB
