Grand Armor Parade! My completed 1/72 scale Armor WARNING: LOTS OF PICS!!

Okay everyone line up and let’s watch the parade!

[}:)][:X][:O][8)][|)][:)][:P][;)][alien][angel][X-)][4:-)][C=:-)][%-)][C):-)][dinner][D)][{(-_-)}][(-D][:-,][oX)][swg][yeah][^][:D][:I][:o)][8D]

(Guess which one’s Robert? [:o)] )

I’ll start off with pics of my completed 1/72 scale Artillery. I have a Russian 57mm Anti-Tank Gun that went together really fast and easy. I still can’t believe how small this little beggar was! And it has real rubber tires! (Did I mention that already? [:I] )

Then I also got my Russian 152mm D-1 Howitzer completed as well.

Now what everyone’s been waiting for, on to the Tanks!

Here is the 1/72 scale British Cromwell I finished up awhile back that was in the third factory tour:

I apologize for the poor quality of this picture. I’m not real sure what happened.

After that are the two Israeli tanks I built. This is the 1/72 scale Israeli Cromwell:

Followed by everyone’s favorite, the Revell/Germany 1/72 scale Merkava III!

I think that this model looks much beter in person. This pic is too poor quality to do it justice! I’m going to try to take a better photo and probably run it in the next Parade.

Another of Revell/Germany’s selection is rumbling by behind that: This is my 1/72 scale Russian T-80U with reactive Armor on it.

And finally, bringing up the rear, is my Israeli 1/72 scale T-55 tank by PST. This one is a captured tank still painted in the Syrian pattern with a large Star of David on it to help prevent ‘blue on blue’:

Well, I hope everyone enjoyed the Parade! I sure enjoyed putting it on. Just in case anyone is wondering, these were all done in about a week and a half. Maybe as one person commented, maybe I do need to be committed! [}:)][:D]

Until next time!

WOW! I mean wow! Two tiny thumbs up!
John

Duke,
you gotta get out doors, man!
how do you get so much done?

really nice stuff.

ed.

Niiiice!
I really like the colors on the Russian T-80U!

Wow, how do you manage to finish so many? Wait, how do you mange to still SEE?!?
I love the finish on the t-55, especially considering the size.

Thanks John! Glad you like them! Got a few more to post, since I just ‘refurbished’ some of my Israeli Armor.

Thanks Ed! Believe it or not, I DO get out doors! No really, I do guys! Don’t let the pasty white skin fool you! [:I][:o)]

I get so much done because I get to a point when I can’t go any further, and I move on to another kit [:I] I only build between two to four hours a day, then I go to the living room and watch all my recorded TV shows to rest. [|)]

Yeah, I liked that too! That’s why I chose that version. The other choice had more decals, but it was just a plain single dark green color! I have enough of those already! It was pretty tough painting around all the valleys and stuff from all those Blazer reactive blocks!

Actually, I have a seeing-eye cat that sees for me! [:o)][8D] Here he is:

With eyes like that, I can’t go wrong! [}:)]

Truthfully, I’m actually surprised that I can still see too! [:D] I’m glad I can! One of the members of my club is going blind and there’s nothing the docs can do for him! I can imagine the pain he’s feeling, especially since he’s such a prolific Car modeler![V]

Thanks for the comments on the T-55. I got that idea for that finish from a photo of knocked out Syrian tanks on the Golan Heights during the 1973 War. There were a number of them painted in that pattern, so I figured, maybe Israel captured one!

Thanks again for the great comments everyone! I love posting my Photos for everyone to see!

Very nice work. I like 1/72 scale: so many kits in the space one good size 1/35 Abrams would take up!!

Very nice indeed. Yu definalty have alot of patience, hope it was’nt all used up with that marathon!

All I can say is truly inspriing-that stuff is SMALL and that is some really fine modelling!

Very impressive, as always, Duke!

Hi there DUke!

Sorry for the late entry…

Duke, You’ve inspired me and I just bought three more 1/72 kits thanks to those Israeli tanks!! I was thinkin of givin up on 1/72 cos of the irritating level of patience but I see that the efforts always seem to pay off… I’ll be posting pics of a 25 pounder and Quad very soon…My second attempt at 1/76… OnceI can get a better quality pic with my Web cam… The Zil truck has got to wait…And so must the Monty’s caravan and Willy’s jeep… Atleast now I know the standard and quality that can be achieved…

Thanks once again for sharing,

Cheers,
Nandakumar

They all look really good Duke. So small so quick so good.

If I thought I could get a littlie to look that good I would do 1/72 as well.

My favourite is the green Cromwell.

Top job Duke.

Matt

Great Looking Models
I think I’ll join you Robert, after all those models, i’m getting hungry!

My thanks to everyone who posted their appreciation. It feels good to provide something that motivates others and allows them to enjoy their hobby.

Nandakumar, I’ll be looking forward to seeing those pics! [^]

Robert, when you fiind the Hot Dog Stand, can yu bring me back one too?[;)][:o)]

Thanks Mark956, I’m glad you like the models. And thanks for the comment on my cat; he’s such a love sponge! [:D]

My two halftracks are almost done, all I have to do is weather them. I should have pics up in a couple more days showing them completed. Then I have to slow down on the small stuff; I have a B-2 Stealth bomber to finish building for the Chino Planes of Fame museum, and I need the space on my bench!
