Got Water?

Howdy all,

I was just curious, does anyone know if there are any manufacturers that make hydroplane race boats wether it be plastic or resin?

I know Revell made two race boats and are now OOP… TIA

Check this website out. They have all kinds of RC stuff

Thank you very much for the site… However I am not really into the R/C thing… Mostly plastic n resin models… Although I may have to get me at least one right? Haha

Thanks again my friend

Here is a manufactuerer of resin hydrplane kits in 1/48 from the 1950’s, 60’s and early 70’s.

http://www.craftworks.com/hydros/hydros.htm

These kits are absolutely beautiful, and their decals are calculated to drag you on a trip down mempry lane if you knew the thunderboats at all. The mfr thrives on the fact that several boats were built with similar hulls, or that a particular boat may have had four or five names and paint schemes during her lifetime, and the decals cover a wide range of possibilitoes.

The website shows some samples, and some decal sheet artwork, and if it doesn’t excite you… well, we must be talking about different hydroplanes.

The only downside is that, as you come to expect, just like any resin kit, these are not cheap.

Good luck,
Rick

Howdy Rick,

That is exactly what I was looking for!! I see that in the near future they will be doing 80’s n 90’s hydros as well.!! SWEET…!!

Thank you for posting the link as well thanks to those who also replied! As I read their site, these things sound amazing… One question with the detailing, are the pits detailed?

Thanks again… I got my eye on Miss Madision…!! What a beaut
