well I won a auction you know which website for a A-6E 1/72 scale from Fujimi for $5.50. Well I got it in yesterday and when I opened the box what stared me in the face was a 1/48 scale F-16D from Hasegawa and below that was the A-6. So I was like my god whats going on so I contacted the seller again to find out what was going on and he said he was cleaning house. God man a kit that costs like almost 50 bucks for free along with a 20 dollar OOP kit for 5 bucks have I died and gone to heaven or am I just lucky.
I’ll help him clean, but I don’t do windows! [;)]
May the gods smile upon him for his generosity. Nice score! To bad there are not more people like him around. I myself have given away two OOP rare kits to forum members. Granted they both had defects but both kits were buildable with a little scratch building. One was a 1/32 Matchbox Spitfire mark 22/24 with a double of one sprue and another one missing. The other was the Revell 1/48 B 17 F that was missing the piece over the cockpit and had the interior partially build. I had no intention of doing either one. I did not want to get into selling incomplete kits on ebay either. I just could not throw out these rare and OOP kits either. offered them up and they both went to good homes

I have sold a lot of stuff on that unmentioned auction site, and have on occasion thrown in some freebies when I had them and the winning bidder paid quite a bit or was extremely friendly and prompt with the payment. Just a little bonus for the nice people out there.
I recently acquired a Monogram F-105D from a seller on EBay. The seller had listed 4 kits but I was only bidding on 1, so imagine my surprise when I opened the box and found all 4 kits in there. I contacted the seller who informed me that the auction wasn’t clearly specified but that she had always intended to sell them as a set since 3 are not complete. I plan to build the complete kit as a -105 but the other 3 I will keep until I get some time and inspiration to build some kind of Star Wars-inspired space craft. I mean, that bird looks like a missile with wings, right?
well there was one time on Ebay I won a Duffel bag and when it arrived I pulled it out of the box and immediately I felt something in the pocket and found a pair of pins which happened to be collar pins for the old OD BDU’s the army had and they had crossed wrench insignia on them. so you never know what you will get. and another time I bought a M1 steel pot helmet on Ebay from a guy in canada and when I got it I was examining the helmet and took the camo cover off and found that the soldier originally issued the helmet drew a picture of a dragon on the helmet.
