yea!
Even with all the bi*ching and moaning some folks are doing over these kits, they sure are impressive. The cockpit does scream out for some resin and brass, though. The seats in particular are kinda sad. Nevertheless, I think these Thuds are really nice lookin’, no matter what the KiA’s over at another forum say. (I won’t mention the name of the forum, but it begins with ‘H’ and ends with ‘yperscale’…)
If I ever win the lottery and convert to braille scale, I’m gonna build the Delta, and it’ll be ‘Bireme Imperator’ of the 354th TFS. Oh Mr.Grant? [:p]
Fade to Black…
What decals come with it. I have one on order but haven’t received it yet.
Got my Wild Weasel today! Blackwolf is right about the cockpit, though. Sure needs the aid of some well-designed resin and PE frets. This is a big mother of a kit, and I’m definitely going to take my time with it.
I have the D model. It has the markings of F-105 D S/N 59-1822 44th TFS, 355th TFW Takhli Air Base, Thailand 1970" The Polish Glider", and F-105D S/N 62-4388 354th TFS, 355th TFW Takhli Air Base, Thailand 1967 “Alice’s Joy”. I know there are after market decals coming soon, lot;s of WWII type nose art with chick’s and stuff. I’m just finishing up my F-18C so I still have time to decide.I’m finishing up the Hornet with VMFA-323 Death Rattlers, MCAS Miramar. Fly Marines!!
I picked up my “G” yesterday. It is an impressive kit and the outside of it is beautiful!! Yes the cockpits need some help especially on the G and the seats are really bad. I’m sure Blackbox, Verlinden or someone will be there to help out real soon. But over all it’s great I think!

Oh, man!
I was in the hobby shop today, and both the D and G were sitting on the shelf…and I passed it by again! [V]
Let’s see if I can resist it’s charms for a third time![;)]
