Good review, yes, but incredibly talented modeling. Mercy, just look at that engine! And did he have two engines, or will they slip in and out? I’m curious because I now have one courtesy of HobbyLink Japan, and I don’t know when I’ll be able to fit it into the schedule, but I’m enjoying just pulling it down and going through the marvelous parts. I also have several TwoBobs sheets for this kit, including the one shown in the review, and all of them are great.
I have a question for you Viper experts out there: What model are the Air Guard units flying now? I mean the interceptor units. And how hard would it be to backdate this kit to one of these pure interceptors? Is it worth it? I want to do something different with this Tamiya kit, since by the time I build it, it will have been done in every conceivable variation and color scheme. Oh, and what happened to Academy’s big F-16 kit? Did it just get eclipsed?

good question, shark- I saw that the so called $69… price on the academy kit is now $117.00. I have also heard that it is lacking and not up to the F-18 standards. Anyone else know anything about it?
