Good Crusader Kit

I’m looking to build a Crusader tank after playing Forgotten Hope (a mod for BF1942) And I was wondering who makes a good priced, good kit out there. I think Tamiya makes one, but any others? Thanks a bunch

Sorry, Tamiya doesn’t make one, and I’m disappointed about it myself. Italeri makes a MK I, II and III. I built the Mk III and it was a pretty nice build. There isn’t much out there in 1/35. I’m sure someone makes a high end resin job, but i don’t know.

i liked the hasegawa one if you want 1:72

I’ve built the Italeri 1/35 Crusader and had no problems with it, it builds a very nice model - there may be some detail inaccuracies I don’t know about but it looks like a Crusader to me. There’s no interior detail, unfortunately, but like most tanks you can’t actually see much of the interior when it’s finished.
The kit I built was the Mark I which has a small secondary turret on the front hull with a single MG. I don’t know if Italeri also do a Mark II (no mini-turret) or III (6-pounder gun) version.

Airfix also made a Crusader in 1/32 scale but apart from being an odd size, it is out of production and expensive due to its collectors value.
I’m sure I’ve seen 1/35 Crusader kits from other manufacturers (possibly Revell?) but I think they’re just re-boxed Italeri mouldings. Not sure though.

In smaller scale, Airfix also make a 1/72 Crusader which can be built as a Mk. I, II or III. I have one (built as a Mk.III) and again it is quite a nice model, though being Airfix from the 70s it’s not up to the standard of newer kits in terms of moulding quality and detail. It’s cheap though (£4 in the UK) though availability might be limited in the states.

I can’t comment on the Hasegawa kit, never having built it or seen one unbuilt, but based on the general quality of Hasegawa armour it’s probably a good kit and better than the Airfix one, if slightly more expensive.

Revell of Germany boxes the Hasegawa Cruasder Mk III in 1/72 scale. And if you can find it, Airfix did a 1/32 scale Crusader that was pretty good. I got one for $5 at a local shop’s clearance bin (was missing the crewman).

I,ve just about finished Italeri’s Crusader I and it builds out nice but it doe’s have its little nits

I built this for the commonwealth group build.
