does anyone know who makes a good flanker kit, I am looking for any variation as long as it is 1/72nd scale.
hasegawa italeri and revell all make the su-27 in 1/72.
The Revell SU-34 has pretty good surface detail, cockpit and landing gears for a 1/72, but it has some major fit problems at various areas.
Airfix’s Su-27 is best in terms of overall shape but has some big fit problems. As a model I like the Hasegawa kit the best but it has some minor outline issues so it’s not the best replica. Incidently, the Hasegawa kit is reboxed by Revell, minus the PE and the cast metal. I also like the Italeri/Revell Su-34. Zvezda has kits of many variants that are pretty good in outline but somewhat crude in detail, at least by todays standards.
