GoldenDragon, warning

I placed an order with Golden Dragons Productions back in December for a B-52H update kit. The information said at the time, “taking orders.” I paid for it with Pay Pal and the amount was charged to my account. I sent G D an email in early February inquiring as to the status of my order. The head honcho sent back an email that my order would be shipped that week. I still haven’t received it. I tried to get on their web page today and it is listed as, “this site has been suspended”.[xx(] [:(!] [xx(] [:(!] [xx(] [:(!] [xx(] [:(!]

Never heard of them, but thanks for the warning.

Aww… that’s awful man! Thanks for the heads up; I’ll be sure to never consider them in the future.

Take care,
Frank

Golden Dragon is the company that was supposed to be making the 1/32 B-58 and a bunch of mod kits for the B-52. They had conversions kits for the XB-52, YB-52, NB-52A, NB-52B, B-52G as well as update sets for the early & late G model and early and late H model. They showed photos of the prototype resin kits on their web site.

Another site to handle with care is mirax hobbies (www.mirax.cl), are one site from Chile, and awfully is one of the few sites in South America. but there you never gets what you have bought (used books in place of brand new ones, after 2 months of waiting and a lot of phone calls i get an incomplete sending and etc). I recomend not to trade with him.

I remember now. I ordered some RTV from them about a year ago and the shipping was higher than what it said on their page. I liked the RTV so I didn’t say anything. About six months ago the catalyst leaked out of the plastic bottle and I asked them if I could replace it. They said that I only had to pay five bucks for shipping and not long after that I got it. So that’s my experience with GD.

I did a transaction with them on evil bay back in November and to be honest, they did have one Neg FB that raised flags for me but I did eventually receive my Item, the B-52F Update. When I emailed them nearly four weeks after I’d paid as to why the delay, I did get a quick reply stating that it had been mailed. Sure enough, it was. I received it a few days later. Shortly after this Golden Dragon posted on their site that they would no longer ship internationally and that all international orders would now have to go through Great Models. Now if I heard correctly, GD is now part of the Great Models “group” along with CAM Decals and others. So yardbird, maybe it might be worth rattling some chains at GMW.

I think I would send a link of these postings to them…just to see if it gets their attention.I pity the fool that thinks screwing only a few people in this hobby is “no big deal”. I was looking at their stuff last night and noticed that they are going to try and release a full kit of the ‘H’ model.I guess I will wait until Amtech decides whether or not they are going to release one.I more than likely will not order from GD due to the fact that I won a set of bulged F-18 wheels on E-bay and I would say quality is at best just ‘OK’.Just my opinion though.

I get the feeling that he bite off more than he could chew. Too bad for him and for you. His stuff certainly looked promising.

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking of ordering some conversion sets for the B-52F and for an NB-52E; now I’ll wait and see what happens… [V]

Thank you for the warning, I hope that they clean up their act and ship out your parts ASAP.
