Hi all,
Here is my last step : the cargo .
As I said previously the kit’s cargo is a wooden one and I need a …steel one !
I just kept the floor and I removed the “wood” . Front and rear will be visible.
For the slatted side ( I hope it’s the good word  ) I used as always plastic card and stripes. The hardest was to make “square holes” !!! In fact I just left empty space between 2 plastic stripes.
Sorry the pic is a little bit off focus
Finally it’s hard to find twice the same GMC truck !!! On each original photo I saw there were different details!
So! I’ve added a chain and the pin used for closing the cargo.
The tail gate gave me much work, to make supports in copper foil and the reflectors.
You can even open and close it ! Not really useful on a kit but i was fun to make it.
The front side: nothing really interesting !
The fenders.
Kit parts are too thick. It will give around 3 cm in the reality !!!
They are made in plastic card and by the way I’ve change the supports by those made in copper.
Take care ! Tamiya have done a mistake. The real support is badly mounted. It should point in the other side; toward the wheels.
The cargo’s body is fixed on the chassis.
That’s all for this time.
