Hi all,
Let’s go on my GMC truck. After the seats I’eve detailled the driver post.
Pedals are made of plastic stripes and electric wire.

On the floor I’ve made a hole to fix tje different levers as on the real one. Some nuts are added as always …
Don’t fix the C5 part if the winch is not in place.

Now the exterior !
I didn’t like the wings of the motor compart from the kit…

…so I’ve done them in plasctic card and aluminium foil.

" Gills" are opened one by one with a X Acto knife .

And now just need to wait to fix all that in few days and the front part on the truck will be done.
Next step : the cargo !
Pics are not working for me…
Nice detail work. I look forward to watching your progress.
Nice work…especially with cutting holes in the louvers.
Tell us more about the kit and the truck. Is that the Tamiya kit?
Is the 1:1 truck a long wheel base CCKW? Where did you go to photograph it?
As per your previous posts on the other forum, this is really spectacular work.
It’s obvious that you put a ton of time and hard work on this project. I can’t wait to see the finished fruits of your efforts. It looks awesome, but I’m wondering how your eyes are feeling after scratching so many tiny parts. Great work on a classic, but underappreciated workhorse.

[:D] lloking good, cant wait to see the finished kit.[:D]
You have some great patience there. This is shaping up to being a spectacular build.
Hi,
Thanks to all for your kind comments.
It’s the Tam’s kit. ( ref 35218 ). It’s not exactly the good version to do what I want ( a radio version ) . In the kit the cargo is a wooden one and of course I need a …steel one !!! Doen’t mater ! I’ll scratch it. [:)]
On pics the GMC truck is a CCKW 353 (long chassis ) . I took a part of this walkaround during a show. BTW , have a look on my " 39 / 45 "page to see different version of the GMC truck ( http://maquettegarden.free.fr/materiel39_45.htm )
Yeah you’re right ! So many details and may be not many people gonna see them ! But the fun is to build the kit and trying to add as much detail as I can. At least YOU have seen them ! [:)][:D]
Now the cargo is quite finished , next week i’ll post the pics.
Regards from France
Thanks for the info.
I look forward to seeing the finished product.
