hi
Newbie on airbrushing, used gloss black on my F1 model but it turned matte, need it to be glossy for then painting aluminum.
Any body that can help me what I should do now, try to strip it of the black paint and try again ?

How about a clear gloss over it
Tojo’s idea will likely work.
Figuring out what happened might be important too. It could be that you were spraying too far from the model, and the paint was drying in the air before it hit the surface. That’ll cause your issue. And if so, another, wetter, coat of the same black might just fix it up. Practice on a scrap model first!
Tamiya gloss can be hard to airbrush because it dries so fast. Try thinning it with Mr Color Leveling thinner or Lacquer thinner but you have to work fast at the right distance & air pressure. Quick light coats followed by heavier ones works best. I would recommend a brush with at .5mm nozzle also. Most importantly, practice on something like and old kit or if all else fails a plastic spoon.
Also, learn to use Tamiya spray paints. They work amazing if you use them correctly (warm the can in hot water for a minute before you spray and primer, sanded smooth, is the best thing to put a gloss coat on.
Thanks so much, I will try again and see if I can’t do better.
Tojo’s idea is solid… and welcome to the forums!
Completely agree with you on the Tamiya spray paints… they work great, clean application, with great results. I have used them on a few builds.
I resprayed and got a very nice gloss finish, can I sand and polish before I apply the metalbaint ?
Thanks for all advice.
