Get Your Entry Ready - Heritagecon in 23 Days

Hello my wingie thing brethren

I normally post in the armour section. But I just thought I would give all of you a heads up on the upcoming Heritagecon Modeller Competition at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, Ontario.

At our club meeting last night the trophies for BEST JET and BEST PROP driven entry were unveiled. All I have to say is I wish I built aircraft because these are awesome.

The BEST JET is a one of a kind trophy for the winner. It is a handcrafted base of oak with a piece of actual Turbo Fan mounted (rumoured to be from an Avro Arrow…lol) but more than likely it is from a CF-104.

The Best Prop as well is a one of a kind trophy for the winner. Again a handcrafted base of oak with a handcrafted propeller in minature. But in the centre mounting hub of the prop is an RCAF clock scavenged from a Rolls Royce aircraft.

So get building and enter. If you need details on the show. Go to www.warplane.com and look under the events tab for the information.

Cheers;

Gregory
