Here’s a shot of the crack in the window. I didn’t closely inspect the edges of the top part of the canopy when I painted it, as I knew I’d be replacing it. As you can see, the crack is a little too big to hide. Another lesson learned.

Great looking Apache. How long does it usually take you to complete a model from start to finish? It seems like you’ve constantly got one coming out of the shop. Don’t get me wrong; I can’t get enough of your quality work! Keep it coming. I guess the real question is how long did it take to get your results?

st_gorder - I started this one on June 2nd. I worked on it, along with AM’s Il-2 single-seat & Tamiya’s Swordfish. As I’m disabled, I have the luxury of spending six to twelve hours a day at the bench, seven days a week. I don’t keep track of the hours in a particular project, though. I built models as a kid in the 60s, stopped in '70, then resumed in '93. I’ve probably built somewhere around 500 kits. (that adds up to MILLIONS of “mistakes,” my main source for learning.
paulnchamp - I sleep when I’m tired, and build when I want. Fortunately, my life isn’t tied to a clock (although I HAVE to watch “Combat!” at noon !)

I’m not a big fan of the Mustang family (I appreciate their greatness, but I’m just kinda sick of seeing 'em all the time!), but seeing your Apache was very refreshing.
I know what you mean about dust…my apartment is a veritable dust factory, no matter how clean I keep it. Must be this nasty industrial Osaka air!!

The Allison engine, dive brakes, & yellow surround insignias really make a different 'stang, don’t they? Not your usual NMF bird.
My dust situation isn’t helped by the fact that there’s a crew replacing the entry hall’s ceiling in the house where I live ! (maybe I’ll run my compressor to counter their banging noise !)
