German WWII Luftwaffe uniforms.

Hello!

The instructions of my Lindberg 1/48 JU87 (Model No. 70508) Stuka do not include painting guides for the pilot and gunner. Does anybody out there have any suggestions on what colors must be used to paint the helmets, goggles, boots, suits, parachute/straps and lifejackets?

Many thanks in advanced for your kind replies.

Working from a Hasegawa boxing of figures, the lifejacket and straps is 70% yellow + 30% flesh, while there is no helmet, the hat and uniform are intermediate blue, boots are flat black, flight suits are intermediate blue. Generally, I would think a mahogony or leather brown would be a good color for the helmet and silver for goggles would work.

That’s what the Hasegawa kit would call for, how accurate it is, I cannot say.

Googling luftwaffe bomber pilot images, I found the following
