Hi,
Does anyone know which kind of vehicle the germans mostly used in the spring of 1943 for transporting ammo on the frontline… and which kit can be used best to make such a vehicle.
thanks
Thijs

I would say an opel truck or 18-ton halftracks or horse-drawn carrage (probably mostly by truck). I have no clue whatsoever who makes a truck or horse-drawn carriage, but I know Tamiya makes the halftrack.
Iteleri make the
Opel Blitz
Opel muiltier
Mercedes L3000
Steyr RSO
Horse drawn carriages
AFV Club make
Sd.Kfz.11 mid half track
All are suitable for ammo carriers
Or if you are doing say a Wesp they used a gunless Wesp as a ammo carrier with the gap for the gun covered up, the same with the Hummels
Basicaly anything that could be used to carry ammo did
Sdkfz 250 and 251’s were also fitted out as Ammo carriers.

What are you planning to show as being resupplied?
Nebelwerfer units also had a specific version of the SdKfz 11 kitted out as an ammo carrier - AFV Club produce that as well.
Also depends on where you want to depict the dio. The trucks had a hard time of it on Russian roads, so the tanks had to go to them. Halftracks and such were used for immediate supply to deployed tanks in Russia when the need arose, but mostly trucks were used as these were more economical. They were cheaper and faster to build, and could transport heavier loads than the horse drawn carriages.
I want to have an ammo carrier which suplies a tiger tank
