Ok I got a few questions about my favorite Gun of all time. First, for the tamiya 1/35 scale flak 36 gun, Is there like a barrel rifling set out there somewhere , u know hte kind u jsut roll up and stick in the barrel, 2 were there any whermacht divisions in normandy that used the 88 or just all ss divisions??? 3 is there a kit out on the market for 88 SS crews, if not how can I convert the guys that come wiht the kit to SS troops in 1944, wiht the tunic or camo uniforms, 4 can someone recommend a good refrence site for 88’s and other german weapons, I am mainly after the 88. and finally if this is to much for someone to answer at one time, then could u post just a peice of the answer??? Thanks in advance allyall. Laterz
the ansew to Q1 is, with the Aber PE sets some have a rifled barrel sections where you roll it and place it into the gun ( Aber havnt got a Flak 36/37 on there list)
Eduard have a PE set but it dosnt look like it has the rifling heres the link http://www.eduard.com/./products/card.php?id_product=1793&name=flak+36&catalogue_nb=&type=&pgroup=&scale=&product_month=&product_year=&page_start=0
i might be better just to get a metal barrel for it
Normally it was used by Luftwaffe gun crews (ill look in some books at the week end for other units that used them in Normandy)
theres a kit for a Self propelled gun crew, you might be able to use on the 88 but im not sure
