George Bush's TBM finished.

Hi guys, I finished Accuminies 1/48 TBM. This to me was a very challenging kit and took me a long time to build. Still I think it is a great kit but has lousy instructions.I liked how they made the turret so its gun can elevate, and it rotates. The kits decals were bad for some reason. Well here it is thanks for looking.

Andrew, You did a Great job on a difficult kit. Everytime you post there is more improvement. Keep it up [tup] [tup]

[#ditto] Wow, you’re really cranking these out! Great job Andrew! [tup]

Looks good Andrew. Keep up the good work, every build shows improvement.

Regards, Rick

Thanks Everyone. [:)]

You handled that kit well. I like to see the rides of famous people, be it presidents, baseball players, etc.

That’s a sweet lookin’ build! [tup]

How do you crank all these builds out so fast and still show marked improvement with each one? Geez, it took me 3 months to finish my last build, and it was still chock full of mistakes![sigh]

Great job!

Thanks Mark and Mucker!I just like to build fast [:)]

Nice Job Andrew. I like the tri-color scheme.

How did the interior turn out ? - I saw some pictures on AM’s website for this kit and the interior looks really intricate.

Chris

Andrew…you could make a living painting canoply glass. Nice!

Andrew,

Great work, how do find the time for the Mustang GB? I’ve been thinking about building a John McCain Skyhawk. If I do I hope it turns out as well as your George Bush Avenger.

Semper Fi,

Chris

Thanks Chris, Chris and Nam. Chris, to me it was the nicest interior job (for me) I have ever done. They get every little detail! thats what the longest part of the build was.[:D]

Nice tribute to the former President, Andrew! I have the kit in my stash and agree with you-the instructions aren’t nearly as clear and easy-to-follow as some of AM’s others, such as the B-25’s.

Mark

Pretty good, Andrew. [tup] I built this same kit awhile back and Accurate Miniature’s are not easy by any stretch of the imagination. I do have a couple of constructive comments if you will take them as such.

  1. Slow down. It’s impressive how fast you build, but I think you’re rushing some things. The landing gear legs seem to be placed at an inward angle.

  2. On the Avengers the landing gear bays were painted the underside color, typically.

  3. Some of the paint work at the demarcation lines is a little messy. I’ve seen you do better (F22 Raptor!).

Other than that, keep plugging away! Kudos for jumping into this with both feet and not being afraid of anything! [bow]

Arki thanks [8D] I thought all WWII us planes had Zinc chromate gear bays. The reason the lines arne’t so good is that I used Electric tape for masking[D)] won’t do that again. I spent a month on this kit it was so long. Your right these kits are not easy theyre hard!

Good job!!! on a great a/c ( my favorite ) I think I have about 6 or 7 of these in my stash. I’m still trying to get time to finish one of mine. Hope it looks half as good as yours. I’m still trying to mask all the green house work[sigh] You just gave me the inspiration to get some work done. THANKS! Again nice job.

Chris
