Generic 1/48 photoetch instument bezels and dials

Does anyone make a set of photoetch modern instrument dials and panels for detailing aircraft cockpits. I am not looking for an aircraft specific set but rather a “collection” of “generic” dials, panels, huds, etc" that can be used to detail modern 1/48 and 1/32 aircraft instument panels. I have seen pictures of “generic” dials being used in the Squardon Signal Applied Modelling book, but they don’t mention a brand? Thanks for any help…

Mike Grant Decals makes the decals you are looking for:

Waldron makes generic sets of photoetch bezels. I think there are several sets available, that have both round and square as well as a set for german bezels that have a slightly different shape. They also make screened instruments, but you’ll need a miniature punch set to use them. As far as I know these are still available.

You might try going to the Great Models website and doing a search on bezels, instruments and or huds.

I put this question as reply to another poster but never got a response. Who sells Waldron PE bezels? Please post some links.

You can get Waldron at Great Models Webstore at

You have to be careful about stock info at Great Models if it does not say In Stock they do not have it at the warehouse. They also run Kitlink which basically is a store that has up to the minute inventory so everythng listed is in stock, If you order from Kitlink it’ll ship pretty much a day or two after the order is placed.

Reheat models also made them, but I think they may be out of business. But I still see them listed in some sites and at shows. I have a little stash of them that I use and should last me a few years.

I got my punches from Roll Models.

Reheat made the best, but sadly they went OOB a few years ago. You can still find them if you search, but they are getting very scarce.

Thanks for the link for the decals of instruments! I have a few packets of instrument bezels somewhere in my stuff.

Roll models has bought and represents the entire line of waldron products.

Mike Grant decals are really nice and an excellant choice but at times too generic
