…The Nashorn, Hornisse and Hummel.

Are these the same vehicle, just early and late versions, or are the completely different vehicles?

nashorn, Hornisse–same vehicle, panzerjaeger with 88mm gun.

Hummel–mobile artillery, 15cm Field Huabitze.

The Hummel was a self-propelled artillery gun. The Nashorn a German tank destroyer, that was initially known as a Hornisse.

Thanks for the answers guys. I noticed the difference of guns, just wondered.

They are built on the same stretched PzIV chassis though, so I’d call them “cousins” in terms of family relations. [:D]

Hummel = Bumble-bee

Hornisse = Hornet

Nashorn = Rhino

Wasn’t the Hornisse the early version of the Nashorn?
