General Lee

Finished this one up, used the MPC and Revell kits.
MPC decals, wheels and tires, homemade push bar. added some light weathering too
thanks for looking!

Man, that is a great build! If you had posed the General Lee and the Sheriff’s patrol car in front of a dusty road or something, Id have thought they were the real thing!

Just a request: Can you please post more pics of the Sheriff Plymouth(?)

thanks man!

the cop car is the MPC Roscoe kit, pretty bad detail wise but looks ok when built.

its a Dodge Monaco, although I believe the tail lights are Plymouth lol

i added in some minor damage and missing hubcap on the front , always seen a hubcap fly off on the show!

Nice builds on these JTRACING. Great work. I really like the subtle weathering.

Wow, those are super realistic! Great job!! I always said that if I were to win the lottery then I would own a General Lee the next day. Coolest car ever.

Chris

Really nice work !

You’ll be inspiring a bunch of folks to build the kits they bought at Hobby Lobby rather than sell 'em on e-bay [;)]

Wonderful work on both the General Lee and police car.

What Revell parts did you use for the General Lee?

I used the revell '69 charger kit with the vinyl roof, added parts are the tires, wheels and decals, those are from the mpc General Lee kit. The Roll bar, antenna and push bar is home made, and the cb radio is from my junk box. Not sure what it was from I had to chop it a lot to make it fit there! Its basicly just the face plate lol

Thanks !

Beautiful work !

Looks like Revell will be getting a boost from the builders as they scrounge for good Charger parts to use in their build…[:D][Y]

Yahoo! Very nice!

Now you need to do Daisy’s Challenger.

Outstanding! Used to watch the show with my land-lady, the elderly Miss Lilian, when I lived in Decatur, Georgia.

You’ve made the cars look like they popped right out of the TV screen.

Where’s the “like” button…?

Absolutely like your patrol car, James. As a fan of American police cars, this is one of the best models Ive ever seen. And nice touch on the missing hub cap. Chasing after the General Lee does that to you.

LOL.

What did you use to weather those wonderful car builds?

The General lee and Roscoe’s Partol car both look great.

It was actually a '72 Road Runner. Nice car either way.

…that was another chassis with clean lins

Hmm, Daisy or the car??? [;)]

The Sheriff approves

Is it really true that door handles don’t work in the South? Or do folks just not know how to use 'em?

Crap! I always forget what her car was. Yeah, the Roadrunner. I don’t know why I thought it was the Challenger.
