Painting the cowlings on a Tamiya 03 Max Biaggi Honda. Already have 4 coats of chrome yellow down, and it looks like I have several more coats to go.
Unercoating with White makes painting Yellow a lot easier.

Good tip - i thought about using white primer, but just used gray
For a real bright yellow I prime with Tamiya AS-12 Aircraft Silver, followed by a coat of flat white, then build up the gloss yellow. The silver really enhances the color.
I have found that after white undercoat, a layer of tan or desert yellow (or any very light brown) before yellow really reduces the number of coats I lay down.
