Okay so my F15k has 2 GBU-31 munitions in it and I plan to add two more. Questions being what color scheme can I paint them other than the normal olive drab/grey combo. I kind of want them to stick out against the grey of the plane but still want them to be accurate. Also as a side note anyone know where I can find some 1/48 scale pilots to throw in the cockpit of the f15? Scoured the net to no avail. Thanks for the help guys.
I think the only other option would be blue. That colour is used for inert training ammunitition.
As for pilots:
Olive Drab bomb, Gray tail section and add on guidance kit body, yellow (HE) or blue stripe(Inert) on bomb near metallic fuse.
Thanks for the info guys especially the pilot figs. I didnt know that the blue represents inert munitions. Can anyone tell me what a red scheme represents? Googled GBU-31 and saw a few real life pics of some with a red scheme. Maybe incendiary? Im not really in the know when it comes to markings to distinguish the types.
yes, red is for chemical incendiaries IIRC- Things like WP, Thermite, and Napalm. Brown is for live rocket motors.
