GB idea

Just a thought but would anybody want to do a MAD jeep build. All variations of military jeeps past and present. It would be a week sometime that is good with everybody.

Possibly, toss some date’s out there. Mad Jeep week or a Mad Jeep weekend? Sounds like a cool idea.

Ryan

It would be a MAD Jeep week due to school, homework, and my dad’s working hours. but i’ll give guys some dates soon.

It’s a good idea. Sometime in the fall would be good for me. I have a few Skybow kits that I could use for this build.

I like the idea. Don’t have a jeep kit though. Can we put together a list of Jeep kits?

how about mad jeep 6 hours

Here’s a short list of 1/35 scale kits:
Heller 81120 Willys Jeep and trailer (poor)
Italeri 314 Willys Jeep and Trailer (good)
Italeri 320 Commando Car (European SAS Jeep)(good)
Italeri 326 Ambulance Jeep (good)
Tamiya 35015 Willys Jeep and trailer (fair)
Tamiya 35033 SAS Jeep (fair–I built an award winner with this last year)
Tamiya 35043 Ford GPA amphibious Jeep (good)
Tamiya 35123 M151A2 modern era Jeep (fair) (Academy copy #1324-poor)
Tamiya 35130 M151A2 with trailer (fair) (Academy copy #1326-poor)
Tamiya 35125 M151A2 with TOW launcher (fair) (Academy copy #1325-poor)
Tamiya 35219 Willys MB (excellent)
Skybow TP3503 M38A1C Jeep (excellent) reboxed by AFV club
Skybow TP3505 M38A1C Jeep with recoilless rifle (excellent) reboxed by AFV Club
Academy 13003 M151A1 with recoilless rifle (good)
Academy 13004 IDF M151A1 Shmira (good)
Academy 13012 M151A2 hardtop with trailer (good)
Revell 03015 Willys Jeep (very good rebox of Italeri Jeep with some new parts)
Revell 03029 Jeep and Tactical Truck (poor rebox of ancient Monogram Jeep)

I probably missed one or two. There are also foreign “Jeeps” used in the same capacity by other countries like the Soviet GAZ-67B, Chinese BJ-212A, British Landrover, or even the HMMWV as a modern era Jeep.

i’m a sucker for a group build… name the time and date

I love the jeep , who doesnt tho. Im definitely in on this one.

Hey go tsome dates although still subject to change. If we did some it would probably be the 25 26 and 27 of March. I could change it if anybody thinks it is to close.

Whatever is decided for the dates is fine with me.

im down, if i finish my jagdtiger by then. i dont like to work on more than one kit at once. if its just a jeep though it shouldnt take too long so id like to do it.

That’s fine with me What should I call the group build. It’s going to be a MAD… Group Build 2005. Any suggestions?

i wouldnt call it MAD group build 2005 becouse the original person who first came up with the idea and the name (it stands for something) wont be happy that he cant do one this year
