I remember we used to have several stickies and one of them was the GB guide for any armor themed group builds, so newbies to the forum would know what’re available for them. The gauging-interest threads for those year long GBs have long been buried with our two page a day updates. Anyone wanna start it back up? ehem… tigerman?? =P
Hi Ryan. I’d love to start another, but I joined The Red Storm GB starting in September. There was a thread about a month or so ago on the proper etiquette on running a GB. The consensus said to start a “feeler” thread in the armor forum and then start a proper thread in the GB forum. So that is why there really isn’t much in the armor forum anymore.
Don’t rule me out for another down the pipe though. [;)]
Ryan, the problem was that at one point, there was like five different group builds going here that would constantly bump up to the top of the page, and the net effect of it was to reduce the page’s capacity by that much, and other less active topics would get shuffled right down onto the “Twilight Zone Limbo” of the second page, where your traffic and responses drop precipitously after they’re relegated there.
It really wasn’t fair, when there’s already a dedicated forum for them. It’s really not hard to find what’s available for newbies–the most current and active ones will invariably be bounced right up near the top of the page in the GB forums.
Oh no, I was talking about a stickied post on top of this forum that lists a set of links to the group builds that gets posted in the GB forum. Just need whoever that starts the group builds to put up a post with the link to the GBs.
Yeah, it would be nice if we could have just the one sticky listing all GB threads.
