Gas mask container's bracket

What would be the best color for the gas mask container’s brackets in WWII german tanks?

I’ ve seen some painted the same color as the walls and some with a reddish brown.

I’d say the color of the walls, it’s what I see most.

Depends on the bracket. Some are all metal and would be hull color, others have a leather strap in which case the strap would be leather…and the rest of the bracket would be hull color.

I will leave them same color as the hull, as it doesn’t look as if it has a leather strap on it.

Maybe you should also consider either throwing one or both out, or adding extra filter pouches, depending on whether it’s an late or early war vehicle.
