Ok guys, sound off with what you’re planning on building, scale, aftermarket stuff, etc. I’ve gotta run out to morning PT right now, but here’s a shot of what I’m planning on doing.
I’m going to build the three JV44 birds first, basically straight from the box. I may correct the wheel wells with some AM resin stuff, but not sure just yet. Decals will be from the Eagle Cals JV44 sheet. The two “big tail” birds will be a bit more challenging. They will each get Eagle Parts Ta-152 tails and will most likely both get the full-up superdetail treatment. Black 6 will have Eagle Cals markings while Yellow 6 will utilize the RVT band from Experten Decals’ Me262 sheet and stencils from Kommandeur Decals. Not sure a source for the number and III Gruppe bar yet, but I’ll find em before I start that build.
I’m not sure exactly what I’m doing yet, but you can definitely count me in. I’ll get back to you in a week or so to tell you what I have planned. Looking forward to it.

What are the start and end dates that we are looking at here. I wouldn’t mind getting in, just depends on the time frame.
I’ll be doing the 1/48th Tamiya kit. Iam not sure what paint scheme to do, little unsure about the red underbelly on the kit decals.
I want in!!! I’ll have to see what I can find for a reasonable price as I have a ton already here that need to be built as well. What is the time line that you are looking at? I should be able to let you know what I’ll build in about two weeks!
[:D] You can sign me up with a Hasegawa 1/32 Fw-190D-9, with all the trimmings(cockpit, exterior detail, landing flaps)!!! This is going to be a monster build!!! Possibly looking at making this the famous yellow 10, so I have ordered that decal sheet from eagle cals!!!
Start date is immediate (just got my Trimaster Dora today!) and end date is open ended. Just enjoy the build and POST PICS!

Has anyone ever built the Hasegawa kit of the D-9 “fall of the Reich Fighter”? It comes with PE and white metal. It’s on a 50% discount at greatmodels right now.

Well, not being one to waste too much time, I’ve gotten started on building “Red 3”. Fuselage has been glued together and I’ve completed the cockpit. The entire cockpit interior got a coating of RLM66 followed by a spray of clear sealant and a flat black sludge wash. After that dried, I drybrushed the detail with flat white.
I also assembled the wing and did the required surgery on the gear well. I’m gonna scratchbuild the rear of the engine this time. Probably will splurge for the resin engine plug on one of the future builds I’ve got planned.
I also inserted the cowl gun tubing (I forgot how cool those look!) and chose to use a pitot tube from one of my other DML 190s so I could use the remainder of the small diameter tubing for gun barrels on the next few Doras.
I’m amazed at how well the fuselage and wing fit together. I’ve never had a great fit with any of the later copies of the DML kit or any follow-on pressings. This one literally falls together! The white metal landing gear fit very nicely after a bit of cleanup and give it a nice, sturdy stance.
So, right now she’s waiting for an engine and then I’ll join the fuselage and wing. She’ll be ready for priming and pre-shading after that!

I will dig into some of my old builds, I think there is a D9 in there, Testors kit…Count me in either way…
Cool deal with the end date being open. Now I just have to get my other two builds done for another GB.
