Hey all,
Since I’ve gotten back into Luftwaffe modeling, I was wondering if there was any interest in an Fw-190D Group Build? This’d be fairly loose on the rules, but the subject would have to be a 190D, any scale, any sub-type.
Lemme know if you’re interested!
I’m expecting the Tri-master kit this week. I’ve never been involved in a group build before so I guess you can count me in.

Well i’m definatly interested depending on the time limit, I have the Tamiya D9 with the Eduard PE set…
Just a suggestion why not do a FW 190 family GB…
Absolutely… hubba, hubba…
Fade to Black…
Fell in love with the 190 a while back so as long as the time constraints are fairly loose, like starting sometime after july you can count me in. I’d love to add a Dora next to my Fw-190F that is sitting on my desk at work!!!
I’ll definitely have a go at this one. I’m on a FW-190 fix at the moment. I’ve done two A series one’s and now I want to do a D. I want to do a tri-master/hasegawa/italeri/dragon (did I leave any out?!!) kit because they are apparently more accurate than the Tamiya kit. I can probably get an Italeri one pretty cheap…
I got Hasegawa in 1/32 so it depends on time ?!?!
Ok, I’m certainly open minded to time constraints. Lets just make it open ended. I’ve still got several birds building for the Attack Helo GB, so that’d allow me to finish them first.
As far as making it an FW family build, I thought about that. I was honestly hoping to keep it strictly Long Nose 190s (maybe stretching it to include Ta-152s, no pun intended). There’s enough variation just within the inline-powered birds, I’d like to keep it strictly to them.
Pingtang, keep an eye on ebay for 1:48 Italeri kits. I just picked up one yesterday for $4US. Doesn’t get much better’n that!
I plan on doing some experimentation with aftermarket stuff on this GB. Gonna see what I can get my hands on as far as detail sets, wheel wells, etc, to enhance my birds. Got 3 Doras on the way here (Trimaster, DML and Italeri) and I’m going to finish them as the remaining 3 a/c from the JV44 airfield protection flight.
Wouldn’t mind joining this GB, just need to know the time frame for this one. I have the Pro Modeller kit that is waiting to be built.
Count me in, dont have a kit guess I will have to go shopping:)

How’s the end of the year sound?
Sounds fine to me Jon count me in with the Tamiya kit[tup]
Hi guys,
I’m interested – never been in a GB before, how does it work?
Okay, how would y’all rate the 1:48 Fujimi kit? I was inventorying my collection a few weeks ago and discovered it – I don’t even remember buying it! I have the Dragon 1:72 Ta-152 as well.

I haven’t built a Dora in a couple of years, so I might de interested. I have a DML/Dragon kit somewhere in the stash stack. Once a firm time is established, I’ll let you know.
Regards, Rick
End of year would make this real appealing…the Ta-152 “stretch” sounds like a good idea…I have an old Testors D9 already built, may strip it down and see how a “reclimation” project goes…
TB,
ooooh, yick… the Fujimi kit is TERRIBLE. Underscale, improperly shaped, and NO detail.
As far as the GB goes, we’ll have a thread on the GB forum where everyone will discuss their builds, any issues they’re having and will post progress pics as the build progresses.
Hi Cobrahistorian,
Oh! No wonder it was cheap (musta been cheap, otherwise I’d remember buying it!) Sounds like one to trade along on eBay for a few bucks.
I’m interested in going with the Eagle Parts or the set from the UK to accurize the Tamiya offering – at this point I’d say I’m in!
Cheers,

Thunderbolt, I built the Fujima kit a couple years ago-I had bought it at a “clearance sale” at a Michael’s store I believe. It was pretty bad and I had to spend a lot of time on it to make it look ok. It can be seen at the my model website, address shown below. Gary
I would love to try this for my first group build. I have the Tamaya 190D 1/48 and the Hasagawa in 1/72 so I am good to go.
How dose this group build thing work anyway?
I’d be interested in joining this GB. I have a Trimaster D-9 and a DML Ta 152H-1 in the “build pile.” I’ll just need a reminder, since I’ll probably go through a dozen or more builds between now and the start date !
Looking forward to this one !
