Hi Can any one tell me what the two silver objects ,with the wire comong out the top , are? (they are at the top of the pic)The Trump 1/24 D9 does not have these and I see them on some planes and not others .These pix can be seen on wikipedia- feed in Junkers Jumo 213 .I would also like to find a definitive pic of where the brake line enters the wheel hub.I have good ref books but cant find the above . I know this may be ‘rivit-counting’ but I just wanna get it right . Any help would be appreciated.
Actually I believe those might have something to do with the interupter gears as the D9 retained the 7.9mm cowling guns they still needed the interupter gears to keep them from shooting their own propellers off.
I think you’re correct. they are the interrupter mechanisms
Thanks to both you guys i was thinkin’ ammo counter but interupter makes sense how bout the wheel hub/brake?

You are in fact correct. That is the interrupter gear.
The ammo counter would probably be located somewhere near the ammo feed.
I am glad youguys sorted that for me now any one know about the brake line?
This is the best pic I’ve been able to find… It’s of a model, but from the photos I’ve looked at of the real ones that actually show any portion of the brake system, this looks pretty accurate…

All the 190 photos I’ve found have the gear doors covering the actual fitting on the brake, but I’d say that this is close enough to right… Any more 190 research you need, you can do, Pard… I’ve got FWs burned into my brain so hard right now that I’m gonna fire up Combat Flight Simulator 2, “jump into” a Mustang, and swat down some FWs just for fun…
Thank you That should do nicely ,and placard placement as well!
