Just after Christmas I found some bargain-priced kits at Hobby Lobby. This was one of them; the Revell Pro-Finish FW-190. It was half-price so I thought I would experiment and see what I could do with it. It was interesting having to deal with the pre-finished parts. I added some hypodermic-tubing gun barrels, did a little cockpit work, added some brakelines, weathered fairly heavily including overspraying the model with Floquil Dust and used a few extra decals. Overall, it makes a pretty nice “3 footer” I guess(and a nice stable-mate for my Fujima FW-190D).
ps. when you open the photo, you can use the “back to pictures” link to see the rest of the photos currently in this group. Thanks, Gary

some very nice builds. did you do them all yourself?
joe
yeah Joe, I built them all. I’ve got about 35 1/48 scale models in my display cabinet; built since about '87 or’88 i guess. My rate of production is pretty slow. In a good year, i’ll finish maybe 4. There is NEVER enough time is there? Gary
NIce work again. Those prepainted kits do offer some interesting builds. I’ve built the P-51B and the P-47 Bubbletop that were in the series. Made up into neat little kits with a bit of work.
