Just thought I’d share a photo of my in-progress FW. She’s almost done, just need to add antenna and gun barrels and some minor parts. It’s done up in the livery of Blue 1 on the cover of the Squadron/Signal FW-190D walk-a-round.
Sweet lookin’ FW, I really like your exhaust stains, very well done.
I like! Is this all the pics we get?[dinner]
Nice one, daywalker, but I have to agree with HK…more pics, please!
Looks very good.
I’d love to see a few more pics too.
I’m a big FW fan.
great work
Mark
Thanks for the kind words. As soon as she’s finished, I’ll post some more pics.
The build looks great. What kit, scale is she?

Nice work daywalker, I like the exhaust stains, very real looking.
Nice looking Dora Daywalker. I like it.
Nice job!!! Ditto on the exhaust stains.
Good looking Dora. Nice work.
Regards, Rick
She is the 1/48 Tamiya Dora, built OOB with masking tape seatbelts, and painted with Gunze acrylics. I’ve done some of the weathering, but need to do a lil’ more with the prop, spinner, and overall staining.
Thanks for all of the great comments!

Installed the wing cannons tonight, and TRIED to do the antenna. While working on the antenna, I managed to knock loose the rear canopy. While trying to re-install the canopy, broke loose the headrest and support. I think this one mabye didn’t have an antenna, as the model sure doesn’t want me to put one on it. Anybody have any antenna tips? Like how exactly to model them?
Cool Build
Well Done !
Bud
Hi, Bud! Didn’t I just sell you a He-162 from DML on Ebay? It’s a small world!
You the one that sold that to me… ?
Where is it, LOL and it better have all the parts LOL hehehhehehe .
Indeed it is a small world. Can’t wait to get that, looks like a cool plane.
Have a GREAT day
Bud
Maybe the guy at the USPS thought it was too nice to send on… LOL [:D]
Thanks again!
Frank
arh I hate days like that…best of luck with the repair process!
Good job on one of the sweetest birds to ever grace the sky.
It’s been said that the one plane that could readily whoop the Mustang was the D-9 FW. Imagine if there were more of them available to the Huns, earlier on. Man, our boys would have been in for a rude time of it.
There WAS a wire antenna on top along with a whip antenna on the bottom of the starboard wing, so tough it out!
I know, I know. I was hoping that MAYBE someone forgot to install one on this bird. [:D]
