SF, judging by the lack of shell ejection ports, bulged canopy, and MG bulges on the deck in front of the cockpit, I’d go with an F8.

Karl,
Thanks buddy, just after posting the question the answer appeared in the text from the book! Indeed it is a F-8 and I just ordered the Edward kit. I hear good things about their products and sure I won’t be disappointed!
Thanks again for your reply, It seems you know your FW-190’s. Anyhow I will have the German decals unused as the plan is to build the Canadianized post war version.
Hello Daywalker
I’d like to join and do a 1/48 Accurate Miniatures FW 190A-8. I have had it sitting around for months along with a couple PE kits for it, and this may be what I need to actually get started on it.
Rob
Frank – I am so aboard! My Dragon 1:48 Wurgers haven’t arrived from the US yet, and I just scored a Hasegawa A-8 on eBay which will take time to wend its way here. I don’t have storage space to do a big 1:32 at this time, though I have two that would be perfect, including a Bodenplatte participant… I might have to launch into the GB with a Dragon 1:72 Ta-152 and just see where I go from there!
Further to Lufty’s point above, for RD IV may I suggest a combined build for the “exotics” that actually reached service in the desperate last six to twelve months of the war in a defensive role – the Do 335, the Me 163, the He 162, that sort of thing? I’m really hangin’ to cycle back to the 109, too!
Cheers, Mike/TB379
Frank, please put me down with a Dragon 1/48 Ta152H-0.
Art
Frank, put me down for the moment for Academy’s 1/72 A6/8. Subject to change.[:D][t$t]
OK Frank. As promised I’m in with the Hasegawa 1/32 D-9. I might be a bit late getting started. The Classic Airframes 1/48 Boeing P-12 I am currently building is going at a turtle pace.
Soulcrusher
Mike, I would love to see your P-12, and looking forward to your Dora!!!
Dupes I have an Academy 1/72nd D-9 that i am not useing the decals for, not sure what decals it has.
Frank, sign me up!

FW 190 Aa-3 5th Regiment “Redheads”, 1949.
Frank I am in!
1/48 Hasegawa Fw-190A-3
For RD IV, how about a nightfighter theme?
Then you could choose from the following, to name but a few:
Do217
Ju88
Me110
Me410
Me109
Fw190
Ta154
Me262
A Nachtjagd RD IV.
Karl
Frank - Mark me down with a 1/48 Tamiya Fw-190D-9. No need for DML torture this time around. [:P]
I would love to get in on this build if possible. I have the Tamiya FW-190A-3 in 1/48. This sounds like a blast. Look fowrward to seeing and posting some pics.

SupressionFire- No problem at all, glad to see some differently marked AC here!
dupes- Sorry my friend, can’t help you with those 1/72 decals. Hopefully someone else here can though!
bondo- Excellent! I have seen that profile before, but never a build of it. Looking forward to seeing it! BTW, what kit/scale are you planning?
Travis- By all means, welcome aboard!
I believe I have everyone updated on page 1. If you see anything amiss, by all means- holler!
Some great ideas from you guys for the next installment, looks like we have all sorts of subjects we can do. Keep 'em coming!
Frank I’m gonna be having a bash at Eduards Fw190 A-8

Cheers…
Daywalker,
When I read about this GB I didn’t recall joining, yet seeing my name on the list it felt like a honor to be in on another one of your highly successful group builds. I consider you and many other modelers here some of the most skilled I have had the pleasure to know![:D[
I ordered the 1/48 scale Edward FW-190 F-8 and a set of suitable decals ASAP, I hope my post war Canadian Butcher bird can soak up a bit of the talent seen on your builds.[Y][H]
Thanks again! When the mail arrives I will get a start on it. October is a ways off yet I can only dedicate rainy days to building.[st]
Cheers, Jason[t$t]

Hallo Chaps!
Just doing a quick recce to see what Daywalker is up to!
TTFN!! [prte][D]
You got it Mike!
Jason- Thank you very much, I am so glad to have you here! I think this GB is going to be the best one yet.
Darren- My goodness, I didn’t see that flyby coming! Glad to see you are out and about.
They don’t call low-level high-speed fly-bys ‘Tactical Surprise’ for nothing!!![whstl]
[snWcm]back CAG!!!
