While looking through magazines and on theinternet I though of some good armor group builds that somebody might want to try.

stug GB
Hummer Madness GB

WWI GB
OP Iraqi Freedom GB
more or another Weekend GB
A one 1week GB
Imaginary/Captured Whatever vehicle GB
OOB GB

Give me your thoughts.
If you want to try one, go for it!

I have a few more ideas:

Israeli armor GB
Russian armor GB
NATO armor GB
Expand on the OIF build and make it into a Middle-East war GB
A GB where soft-skin vehicles or APC’s (BMP’s, M113, Bradleys etc.) are the focus of the build.

i think someone is starting a Stug build for late summer or fall.

Here are The Rules

  1. Any Stug Variant(III/ IV, StuH,and the one with the Sig 33)
  2. Any Scale
  3. All photo-etch and aftermarket accesories allowed, and welcomed.
  4. May be put on base or in diorama with other military models
  5. No mocking or any derision of any group members or their beliefs.
  6. Updates on progress are encouraged
  7. Build starts August 16 and ends October 16
  8. Cut off to enter is August 30

otherwise, there are a number of good ideas on your list.

-WW2 Desert GB (Vehicles used in the desert in ww2)
-Invasion of France 1940 GB
-Panzer GB
-British or UK GB
-Oz Fest GB
-Axis Allies GB (Finish, Italilan etc.)
-Japanese GB
-Specific vehicle GB (everyone builds the same variant of a vehicle so we can see the various interpretations of that vehicle)
-year specific GB (vehicles used in a specific year)
-Wingy thing GB (what happens when a bunch of tread heads build a plane, we can challenge the fly boys) or a variation on that… if tanks could fly (a sort of fantasy build)
-softskin build

I’d like to see all of us do a wingy thingy[:D] In fact i have two in waiting for the DDay GB[xx(] Id like to see them all butThe one i’d really like to see is WWI. Ive been thinking about it for some time.

The “I’ve always wanted to build this” GB (any vehicle you’ve ever wanted to build but haven’t)

Cold War GB

I like the idea of a:

  1. Russian AFV GB
  2. Desert AFV GB
  3. Kursk GB
  4. Flyboys have to build a tank & treadheads have to build a plane
  5. Tank Destroyer GB

i think u’ll get more entries in the latter category,
altho’ i did see a very nice article on a Finnish Panzer iv awhile back…

how about a recce vehicle (or LAV) GB ?
i like the APC GB idea, also…
