Future floor wax and Lacquer??

How will a coat of Model Master’s Lacquer Finish react with a previously applied under coat of Future Floor wax??

I’ve been disappointed with the durability of future floor wax (as a glosscoat for models)…have other modelers expierenced similar shortfalls?

Future is acrylic and the lacquer if applied too wet will lift the acrylic badly.
You may be able to spray a few ‘dust coats’ over it with the lacquer to protect it from the wet coats later. Maybe someone who has actual tried this could add something.

Do a test! Try it on a spare piece of styrene! Let us know what happens! maybe you’ve heard of ‘trial and error’?

I use Testor’s Dullcoat over Future on every model I build. I apply the Dullcoat in VERY light coats, & I’ve never had a problem with it. The only time I ever experienced anything adverse was when I applied Dullcoat over acrylic paint (Gunze) that had been thinned with isopropyl alcohol. The key to applying Dullcoat is using multiple thin coats, waiting about 10-15 minutes between coats. I use very low pressure & paint volume through a Badger 150 (double-action) brush.
Hope this helps !
