Okay, one, the question is rather trivial. Two, it should probably be posted on the painting and finishing forum. And three, the answer is probably a long shot.
But I cant help it. Its not a “tips” question and I want to solve the mystery as SC Johnson may probably be wondering why their liquid wax is selling like hotcakes.
So, after countless questions and tips on the substance, who discovered that Future is a great stuff to use on models? Any of you guys know? [%-)]
I dunno, but it also works well on combat boots.I used to use it when I was a private.
just put some kiwi on , brush it off, then apply the future, boom instant shine and pass.
No one knows who first applied Future to a model part. SC Johnson is completely aware of what we are doing and they do not condone our use of Future. Why you may ask? Because they developed and tested this for use on floors and do not want bad press if it should destroy a model.
yep you will too, but now I have my german boots that are patten leather and are so easy to shine with a rag and some danner boot dressing, also my cocran II’s are in pretty good shape (mirror image off them ) but my recruit issue boots are feeling the effects of to many layers of mop and glow/ future/ leather luster , well you name the cheat they probably have it on them?
The ones with the future on them look like german ambush pattern if they get rained on, I know.
Ok, Ok. I admit it, I DID IT!!! IT WAS ME!!! I PUT THE FLOOR WAX ON THE MODELS!!! Why you ask? I DONT KNOW!!! I also took the Lindberg baby AND Im the one that keeps taking the ships and planes from the Bermuda Triangle!!!..
Sorry, just a small cry for attention…(I’m bored)[:D]
As to your question, I have no idea, but it sure was a good idea it seems
Redleg
Back in the 60s there was a deoderant pad (don’t remember name now) that was about the size of a silver dollar. Wipe it over your shoes or boots and instant spit shine. Guys would wipe their boots 2 minutes before an in-ranks inspection and get rave reviews ('course everyone involved knew what was going on, but how do you stop it). But if they got wet, the shoes (or boots) would turn the most putrid white color and it was hell to get off.
