Fury Figure Set

Does anybody have any ideas what colors to use for all the different colors and shades on all of these different uniform pieces,or a refrence.zi mean the colors are all so different.I like to use Vallejo

Thanks guys

I hope to be able to do Fury in the fall,i have Tamiya/Tasca Easy 8,and the Legends Fury upgrade, and some AM decals.

You can use this site’s recommendations for the colors. They are Model Master colors, but then you can look for Vallejo equivalents.

I’ll concur, US Army Models is a great resource.

Also you might look at Vallejo’s Allied Forces WWII paint set. I picked up one on sale years ago and have been getting a lot of use out of it.

Thanks Stik, I used to have that link, but lost track of it Gamera, that set looks very useful.

I ended up grabbing Vallejo 70.186 US Tanker Set, seemed to zero in on my needs

A lot of it will be in gettign the base color selected, then making all the variations of it the various figures require.

Or, you could just do each figure one at a time, and vary how you handle tints and shades.

Having seen piles of unissued WWII uniforms, they were not all that uniform. The khaki color might be more tan, or more green, or more brown than the one on the next hangar. The greens could be very pale, near a sage color with hints of blue, or be more brown, more tan, more olive. (If you can find a mixed jar of Spanish Olives, you can have a good do-by [:)] .) The darkest green unifomrs used were called “chocolate” for a reason, for having schwartzgrun and olive green hues.
