I finally managed to get my beacon circuit working for the F-117 and had a little fun playing around with some video of both the actual jet and then the effect the LEDs give compared to it. If you’re interested, you can check it out here:

That looks really nice!! I think it’s going to work beautifully. I do wonder if the smaller scale would effect the pulses though. Would a smaller scale make the pulses more or less?? Or do you think that the scale wouldn’t matter a bit? BTW cool site!!! It’s not often you come across such an original site, and hobby!!!

Heath, I’m not sure what the scale does to the flashes - I suppose it depends on wether or not one chooses to model in three dimensions or four. I hadn’t really thought of scaling time as well ya know…very interesting. As for the “other” hobby…the Irish bagpipes are an even greater sickness! A lot of fun though. And if you thought models were expensive and took a lot of trouble to get to work the way you wanted them to…try uilleann piping!

Ya know…this has really got me thinking! As things get smaller, we tend to view them speeding up. Animals have shorter life spans due to a faster metabolism and all that…but does that (or should it) translate into scale modeling too I wonder? I’d be very interested to hear your thougts guys:
