Fun With Cheap HobbyCraft Kits

They were a gift and cheap made kits. So, no they aren’t shining examples of my limited skills, but they were fun to build and I just thought I would show them. I know there are things I can change, and I may. But here they are, for now.

Thanks for looking!

You did a good job on them. I like building the older kits from time to time. A nice change.

Jarod. Can we have some more close ups ?

Those barrel seams are a B**** are’nt they ?

Dont see much HobbyCraft armour in Australia, mainly aircraft.

What model and scale. One looks like an Iraqi T59, what about the other 2 ?

Type 69, BMP1 and a T72. Yep, there is a big seam line there, eagle eye!! [;)]

I don’t know if I want to post any more pics, lol!! I don’t have any more downloaded right now.

Fun is what this is all about! They look good to me and if you were able to accomplish this on the cheap, and had fun doing them, then all is good.

Hobbycraft armor kits are normally re-boxed older Trumpeter kits.

Often the best way to go for “practice” kits…lots of learning opportunities with them and you aren’t out a substantial $$$ if you have a modeling disaster…er…epiphany. [:)]

This is true. With little to no money invested it is like a walk in the park. Few worries or pressures. These were fun. I see errors. I can fix some if I choose to later, and I’m sure I will! But overall these were fun. And all handpainted, mixed my own colors and that is why they are kind of different. Well, thanks for the comments. And why not do a cheap and fun one yourself? For old times sake, at least!!

epiphany. Nice one, Bill! 60
