I just picked up the Fujimi 1/48th Thunderbirds F4E 12.00 including shipping, has anbody built this or any other Fujimi F4 variants what do I need to look out for and would you know the correct red for the nose and touch-up if needed thanks in advance this will be my second project after a 15 year hiatus.
I just completed that kit a few weeks ago. I built it OOB, but you if are into interior detail the cockpit is woefully lacking. The only problem I had on my build was the seam between the canopy and the tail. I thought I had it filled and hidden real well until it was painted. It appears the plastic along the seam sagged between the right and left fuselage halves that really make the seam noticeable. Other than that the kit went together real nicely and the decals snuggled down very nicley without decal settign solution after about 8 hours. I found Tamiya Flat Red XF-7 coated with gloss coat and Tamiya Sea Blue XF-17 to be a perfect match for the collors of the kit decals. Just make sure you build up that top seam well and you will have an awesome looking Phantom.
