Fujimi has a good selection of 1/76 armor. I have built a Fujimi F86 Sabre. The molding was great, the plastic was great, BUT the guide pins/holes were askew and this messed up the whole model for me. Well it had to be that, it cant possibly be my modeling skills [:p]
Has anyone built thier tanks (Tiger, King Tiger, whatever) and had this problem or other problems?
I’ve got a few of their kits. Not bad, but most are outdated. The ones I have are the Pz 38t, M4 HVSS 105mm, Type 90 MBT. I also have the M4A1 and M30 ammo carrier, but these are ex-Nitto kits. The tracks were the only problem I encountered. I wished they’d invest in link & length tracks.
The Fujimi 1/76 Tiger I Late is an excellent kit, complete with link-and-length tracks.
Their JS-2 and JS-2M are two of the best 1/76 armor kits I’ve seen. The tracks are incredible. Their modern JGSDF series (Type 61, Type 74, and Type 90) are all very good kits as well, and all feature excellent injection-molded link-n-length tracks.
These are the only “new” armor kits by Fujimi. As Rob said, their older kits are not as detailed, and the tracks are particularly disappointing. They have, however, added some injection link-and-length tracks to some of their older kits, including the Panzer III, Tiger II (Porsche and Henschel), and Jagdtiger. You’ll have to check the boxes to see if they are marked as including the new tracks.
