Fuddy Duddy B17G Pics

Fuddy Duddy came through town last week. It is a B17G built by Douglas in 1944. It went to the Pacific, but didn’t fly combat. After the war, it flew Eisenhower around the Pacific on tour. This a/c belongs to National Warplane Museum in Elmira, NY. It is on loan to the EAA for this tour. Fuddy Duddy was lost in Europe, in a midair. Several of you seem to be building 17’s, so I hope these pictures help. I couldn’t get them in one album, so you have to go to both sites to see them all. A couple don’t seemto want to rotate, so that they are uporight. The bombardier position was closed off with plexiglass, so the pictures aren’t the best. Inside the fuselage seems to be painted British interior green rather than chromate or US interior green.
