FT 17 Tank treads?

What are Ftt 17 Renault tank treads made of? Are they rubber? Are the end sections of the tracks made of metal? What color should they be painted? Can you give a Tamiya or Vallejo reference name or number?

The tracks are steel. From memory-vague, bad, memory–I want to say that some of the tracks were unfinished steel, and others were painted. So, the best bet is likely to pick a specific tank and follow that reference.
