FSM Group Build Website?

Is there a place that shows the models completed from the various Group Builds over time?

If not, I would like to offer setting one up. I personally like what MSN offers in website hosting, and would be glad to piece something together, breaking down the pages by subject, and then builds within the subjects (Armor, Sci-Fi, etc.).

I don’t want to detract from the FSM messages forum, so would disable the messages board of the website.

The sole purpose of the site would thus be a Group Builds photo album.

You can see how MSN sites work by looking at the link in my siggy. That was a group idea I had for a site, but never really got off the ground. It does provide the format and structure of what MSN websites offer.

Me, or anyone wishing, would be able to upload their “best photo” for placing on a page that would feature the group build. I would implement graphics, backgrounds, etc., to make a presentable page, including the group badge, etc., as desired by the group build organizers.

Anyone else keen on this idea? Write me or post thoughts here, ok? If it sounds good, I’ll get one built. I enjoy creating and managing MSN-based interest sites, so have no problem with pursuing this.

I would suggest using RonUSMC’s site for this.

I’ll email him to see if he can add a GB section…stay tuned.

There is no such site at persent, but it would be a great idea. However, I think it’d be some kind of miracle to have everyone who participated in every GB reply to your inquiries and actually send you the pics. Best bet, and this is a LOT of work, is to surf through all ongoing and past GBs yourself, then just pick up the pics. Save them to your own HD (with permission of course [:P] ) so that if someone removes the links, or the images, you won’t lose them on your site.

Fish-Head Aric, that is a very ambitious undertkaing you want to do. I like it though. I briefly thought of something similar, very briefly. [#dots]

As moderator of the Canadian GB, I edited the first page where it lists everyone participating and what they are building. I added what page of the GB one can find the finished builds as participants complete them. I wish more would do this. [sigh]

That’s a tall order you’re taking on! Having hosted the Panther GB I know how much work it was just for one. Unfortunately I have had not one but two host sites fold on me so the GB results are now off-line again!
