Fade to Black…

YES Steve-O is back … and once again I have no idea what so ever. Where do you find these birds Steve ???

wait Ive seen this one… you’ve posted pics of em before… yep thats another one of those airplanes thingys right?

Uh, itsa…No, itsa…Oh I just thought I knew it. As usual another stumper. Glad to see this back Steve, really enjoy them, even if I can’t get em.

Well, sometimes they just kinda find me.

I dang near live and breathe things with wings, so I come across all sortsa stuff all over the place, and sometimes in quite unexpected places. For example, I was searching for good images of the B-58 recently. There’s alotta images out there on the net, but very few are good quality AND decently sized. The best image I found was on a family’s website and it was the only airplane photo on the whole site. So you never can tell where you’re going to find this stuff…

Anyhoo, I found this particular image (the one above) while looking for something else and thought; “Hey… now that would be a good one for the quiz…”

By the way, as always, I’m glad ya’ll enjoy these quizzes. I know I do! Although it’s increasingly tough to find something that’s gonna be a true stumper. Only had one so far…

Fade to Black…

Oh man, I am so glad I saw this the first day you posted. It’s going to take quite a bit of digging on this BlackWolf!

Hey Steve,
Isn’t that one of Dan’s models that he put in the Microwave? Yaw know to help the paint dry faster…LOL[:p][:p][:p][:p][;)].
Flaps up, Mike

“Drying time?”

Actually, he doesn’t bother with the microwave anymore, Mike. Ever since he started using acrylics, he thinks he can put the decals on right after painting. Something to do with acrylics being water based… [:p]

Fade to Black…

if Dr. Suess built aircraft that what it would look like, its from whatchamacallit land.

YAY! Quizzes are back! Yeah!..

…Hang on… What the hell is that thing? Damnit! Quizzes are back. [censored] [:D][:P]
Man, where do i start looking for this? The Wickerbasket Aircraft Works? Ye 'ol Tin Shoppe? Maybe a clue for every quiz is in order, Steve-o! [;)]

For the love of- Geeze! I have no idea what it is. What gets me so mad- I’VE SEEN IT BEFORE!! I can’t remember where, or what it is, but I have seen it before! [:(!] Geeze! Ah, well. I’m okay now.

Clues? Hmmmm… Perhaps, if it looks that this one is too much after a day or two then, yes, I shall provide ye with a clue…

Fade to Black…

Blackwolf, why are you standing on vegetables in France? Just noticed your location and that was what popped in my head. Sorry Its way past my bedtime.

ugly lookin thing!

Isn’t that the first Corsair prototype?

Dan

hey wait ive seen this one before. yeah i know it was the one on its top a few weeks ago. now just to find that thread. hehehehe.

steve glad to see these back, even though the only one i knew i got wrong anyway.

joe

Yaay, a new quiz! Thanks Steve-O [8D]. Now, maybe you could post a pic of what the think looked like BEFORE it crashed and got patched up by the local carpenter?

Well, this one wasn’t easy, but my answer’s in the mail[:D].

I believe this aircraft is “The Spirit of St. Batman,” used by famed aviator Bucky Sturgeon to cross the Mason-Dixon line in 1933.

DISCLAIMER: This was neither a serious guess nor hint!
Just a lame attempt at levity…

There I was thinking it was the plane used by that famed blind pilot, Billy Batz, to smuggle cigars into Cuba and that one attempt to take ice cubes to the eskimos.[:D]

Ooo, wait…that might be it, Roadkill!

I know it’s lame to laugh at your own gags, but the name “Bucky Sturgeon” is still cracking me up!
