From the "Ironworks" My F6F-3 finished.....

Here’s some pics of my latest build, the Hasegawa 1/48 F6F-3 Hellcat from the Carrier Lexington…
BTW sorry about the poor picture quality[:(]

Looks like a very nicely done clean build. Thanks much for sharing.

Hey now, that’s a winner. Excellent job!

Nice looking 'cat you have there j.s.[tup] I always like seeing a Grumman Cat on the forum pages and you did a beautiful job with this one. Thanks for posting the pix.

Awesome job my friend that is a really professional piece of work you should be proud of it, congrats!!! Did you go AM on the cockpit or is that OOB?

BTW, I love the esky lid display stand [:D]

Cheers
Darren

That’s a great looking bird you have there. Well done!

Looks good nice clean build.

As a “young buck” (as many have described us younger crowd), I don’t get too excited about “old birds” but I must say, this is one is one of few that have gotten my attention. The color detail is simply amazing. The old paint look of it is stunning. It certainly does look like a professional job. I hope one day to paint my birds with this kind of precision. Thanks for posting those pictures!

Very nice build. A Cat to be proud of. Thanks for sharing.

Regards, Rick

Jules, Very Nice !

Chris

The quality of the pictures is good enough that I can tell it’s a great looking build! Thanks for sharing.

That’s a Hell of a Cat!! Nice work!

That looks very nice! I always liked blue/blue gray type camo.

Excellent bird!!!From the looks of the pics, from what I can see, it looks like the cockpit came out very nice. Any chance of a close-up[:D].

Thanks for the show.

I’ve said it on the GB thread, and I’ll say it again here; Great build[tup][tup].

Thanks for the kind words fellas i’m glad you liked it[tup]

Darren the kit is pretty much OOB, all i added was a set of Eduard coloured seat belts and some PE gun barrels, i also thinned out the wheel covers and drilled out the exausts for that little extra[tup]

Skarpotchi, Mate i have tried and tried to get decent closeup pics but have come to the conclusion that my little 2 mega pixel camera is simply not up to the job[:(]which is a pity because the amount of detail in the Hasegawa pit pleasantly suprised me[^][^]

Once again thanks for the kind remarks…
Cheers Jules…

Jules,
Very nice Hellcat - I like paint scheme - and thanks for sharing the pics.
