From the "Frozen Tundra" to you.

This is my latest build, a Hobby Craft ‘Blitzhawk 75’ in 1/48. It was a quick build that went off with no hitches.

The base color is Testors White enamel (rattle can). The camo is Testors Olive Drab enamel applied with a Testors 1x6 flat brush.

On the base, Woodland scenics brand “Fine Grass” base with “Soft Flake Snow” sprinkled across to simulate a little dusting.

As you can see from the last photo, there were several variations to choose from but once I saw this scheme, I knew I couldn’t do any other.

The kit itself is not very detail heavy but the plastic is good, the fit was excellent, and the decal sheet is top notch. i would recommend it to any of you looking to do this aeroplane.

Thank you for looking and regards, PWB.

Not a scheme you see everyday. Nicely done.

Regards, Rick

Very nice. Great idea and nice to see something different.

My thanks to you for your kind words.

And thanks as well to all of you who stopped in for a look.

Regards, PWB.

Hey PWB, looks good! I like the scheme and the effect given with the base.

One thing that sticks out is how sharp the outline of the plane is in the “snow”. You could tone this down a bit by sprinkling just a little snow under the “high” areas of the plane, like the cowling and leading edges of the wings.

This is a top notch build, don’t get me wrong. One to be proud of for sure.

‘RadMax8’,

That’s a good idea. My thanks for your input.

Regards, PWB.

Very nice work.

Not everyone needs the über expensive airbrush setup to do a good job.

And thanks for the review of the kit !
